By accessing or using Scansprout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Scansprout provides a QR code generation service that allows users to create static and dynamic QR codes. Static QR codes are available without registration. Dynamic QR codes, which offer editing and tracking features, require a paid subscription after a 14-day trial period.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Create QR codes that link to illegal, harmful, or malicious content
- Distribute malware, phishing attempts, or fraudulent schemes
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Harass, abuse, or harm other individuals
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
5. QR Code Content
You are solely responsible for the content encoded in your QR codes and any destinations they link to. We reserve the right to disable or remove QR codes that violate these terms or applicable laws.
6. Free and Paid Services
The Service offers both free and paid tiers. Free accounts include up to 3 dynamic QR codes with unlimited scans. We reserve the right to modify features and limits at any time with reasonable notice.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Scansprout and are protected by intellectual property laws. QR codes you create remain your property, but you grant us a license to host and serve them through our platform.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scansprout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Dynamic QR codes associated with terminated accounts may be disabled.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
